Your business doesn’t need to make 6 or 7-figures.
THERE I SAID IT.
I mean, if you want it to, great! More power to ya. Go nuts.
What I’m really getting at here is that I’ve recently realized I’ve been putting a LOT of time and energy into trying to grow my business, when that’s not really what I even want.
Bear with me here for a sec…
I like freelance copywriting. It’s the best job I’ve ever had. But! But! But!
I don’t really want to spend my whole life focused on it. My main goal? Become a published author. That’s why I started this whole thing in the first place! To have the freedom and time to a) travel and b) write the dang novel.
So now that I have a steady income and am completely burnt out on traveling…why the heck am I still so focused on building my business?
PUT ON THE BREAKS, GIRL. It’s time to hit your word count goal.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the online business rush to the 6-figure goal mark. I’m incredibly guilty of this. Like, if you’re not constantly hustling to create a she-empire, you’re just not cool enough.
But your life doesn’t have to be your business. And your dream doesn’t even have to be your business. Your business can be a means to another end — another side hustle, another passion project.
That’s OK. It doesn’t mean you’re less motivated.
It just means, you have your priorities straight.
